I purchased some of these a year ago and recently brought more to to fully surround my outdoor deck. The old set are still doing well and I've had no issues with them. I don't take them down at all. I screwed them in sparingly across the deck (like two screws for one string of lights) and was still able to create the draping/hanging that I liked.
