Outdoor umbrella

Just horrible to have something that is brand new break so easily. I will try to open up the mechanism and see if I can somehow attach the string once again, but his should not happen to something brand new

Very disappointed

I drove 200 miles ( round trip) to shop at At Home in St Louis, MO. I bought this umbrella & when I opened it at my home , it was missing the bottom pole. I called and told the person who answered the situation. She told me to bring it back. I told her of the distance; she said I had 60/90 days depending if I was a Perks member! The item is defective… I should have been credited the full amt and told to discard the umbrella top.
