Burnt on residue on oven glass... I tried soap and water, then glass cleaner, then oven cleaner, then grill cleaner, then fireplace glass cleaner, then acetone, then xylene, mineral spirits, gasoline, lighter fluid ...
Finally I wet the glass and used a Magic Eraser pad... voila'

I was skeptical at first but I was stunned when I used the magic eraser on a heavily spotted shower glass panel. It effortlessly removed the water spots that nothing else could touch or cut. This is the real deal!

When these came on the market, they cornered the market on ease of cleaning things that many other products couldn't even put a dent in. Fast forward to 2025, and it has been found that these “magic” sponges shed microplastic fibers when worn down. Researchers publishing in ACS’ Environmental Science & Technology report that, worldwide, melamine sponges could release over a trillion microplastic fibers every month. A TRILLION PER MONTH! Mr. Clean and Co. it's business as usual. If they took the initiative to reformulate, rather than devastate, I would be a fan. Alas, there is no such incentive if it interferes with greedy, corporate policies. Bottom line, I don't need microplastics invading my body or that of my family, pets, friends, and every life form on earth. Mr. Clean, clean up your own act.
