Poor quality!
This finial had a cute design that was more a traditional shape and style. It seems to be made out of a type of resin, not metal. However, the hole was drilled into the bottom off-center and at an angle. When you tried to screw it onto the lamp, it would not go all the way down and was at an awkward angle. We returned it and checked out others at our local At Home store. Unfortunately, they all had similar problems. We returned the one we bought and did not exchange it for another.
