THE PULVERIZER!!!

So, I needed a larger mortar and pestle, as the one I've owned and used for decades was okay for small amounts of ingredients but woefully inadequate for larger amounts. I jaunted on down to my local At Home store and to my delight found the perfect mortar and pestle set. It is "baby bear's porridge" perfect, in that it is "just right"! Not too big, not too small, perfect for household cooking. Sure one could acquire a smaller mortar and pestle but that would be absurd. This set is the operationally perfect in every way.

There are times that food processors aren’t the answer in the kitchen. Enter a good mortar and pestle, and this one is it. Not only is it worthy of counter candy, it is a workhorse in recipe prep. Sturdy, won’t tip, bowl the perfect size for nuts, herbs, spices. Pestle is heavy, smooth and fits well even in smaller hand. The best part? The price. A good marble mortar and pestle at WS would cost you $100, this one a fraction of that.

Pretty,, good quality. Ground up some peppercorn, was able to keep it coarse. Family ground some herbs into a powder. Pretty on the countertop Collected as part of a promotion.
