Unprofessional Delivery Experience
I rarely ever leave negative reviews, but this experience was unacceptable. I ordered two barstools for delivery, and the next morning I received a series of angry calls from the delivery driver, 'Mathew,' demanding my building code (which I had only just moved in and didn’t know yet) and even asking for a tip because he claimed he wasn’t being paid. That is not something a customer should ever be pressured about, he should take that up with the company, not harass the customer.
On top of that, the stools were not delivered in any protective box or packaging, they were simply stacked in my complex’s clubhouse, with visible scuff marks already on the seats. I was later told by staff that the driver was just as rude to them as he was to me, which is unacceptable.
While I understand that apartment deliveries can sometimes be confusing, professional drivers usually check with the leasing office or clubhouse staff, rather than berating residents. This was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I will attempt to clean the chairs, but if the damage doesn’t come out, I’ll be returning them.
I hope the company takes steps to improve their delivery practices, because the in-store experience has always been great, but this was far below expectations.
