Beautiful and Sturdy, But Disappointed by Damage

I really love the Lorraine Wooden Shelf in Walnut Finish. It’s a beautiful piece that’s large and sturdy—perfect for displaying my board games and puzzles. The design and finish are exactly what I wanted, and it adds a warm, elegant touch to my room. However, I have to give it 4 stars instead of 5 because one of the main side panels arrived full of scratches, and the other has noticeable nicks. Considering the price, this kind of damage is unacceptable. I was very disappointed to spend so much money on a bookshelf that wasn’t in perfect condition. I would have returned it if it weren’t such a beast to assemble, and I needed it set up quickly before a party. Overall, I’m happy with the look and sturdiness, but the damage definitely detracts from the experience.
