The lamp is just the perfect height to be stationed just behind an 8x10 picture we have that is in the horizontal position on an end table. The light comes out at a downward angle that makes the picture stand out. Highly reccomend!

Perfect desk lamp
I purchased this lamp for my husband's office. Nice size and sturdy. I really like the classic design, that can work with many design styles. The only thing I wished it had was a USB port.

Sturdy and stylish
I bought two of these lamps to use as bedside lamps. I lamps that were on the tall side, but also didn't take up much room (no giant lampshades!). This lamps was perfect. My husband likes that the light portion is adjustable so he can aim it at the nightstand or his book directly. The only downside is that the lamp gets hot after the light is on for a bit and it's difficult to adjust once it's on. Perhaps with an LED bulb it'd be cooler to the touch, but for now, we just adjust the lamp before turning it on.
