Edges curl outdoors

I got a big rug - maybe 8x10’. I really like how it looks, but although it is advertised as being indoor/outdoor, I don’t find that it holds up well out on my patio. Granted, my patio is very exposed and gets all the sun and rain. The short ends are reinforced, but the long ends have a thinner finished border, and I find they curl up after exposed to (I’m not sure what— maybe the sun and/or rain). I flip it upside down every once in a while to curl it back, but it just happens again. Pretty disappointing. I’ve only had it a couple months. Otherwise, it’s an attractive, sturdy rug.
