Pretty but not perfect finishes.

I loved the pattern and weight of the dishes. Unfortunately, there was a flaw on one dinner plate, one salad plate and one bowl. The flaws were noticeable. On the bowl there was a black spot and it was rough to the touch where the glaze missed a spot and the other two were very small black spots that looked like something was on the dishes. The spots were tiny but anyone using one would think there was a bug or some type of black speck on the piece. I did ask if we could open another box and take one of each out of that box to replace these. Worth a shot! I'm sure there will be other folks with similar experiences so it could be worth using one box off the shelf to replace flawed pieces that come from a purchased box. To my knowledge, these dish sets are not "seconds" where one might expect a flaw or two. Otherwise, I would have kept the set.
