This rug has no nap. It's FLAT. However, I bought it for that reason. I just wanted a rug for my 14-year-old dog to have some traction on our hard wood floors. Plus, since it has no nap he will not be inclined to pee on it, thinking that he's outside. The colors are all mid range blues. Kinda boring. I wish it had some darks and lights, but like I said, I just bought it to provide traction in the living room for m elderly dog.
