I purchased two of these lamps for the bed rooms In my home. First of all the material says metal the entire lamp is not metal there is the part that is connected to the arch that adjust the tightness of the lampshade that is made of plastic I have two broken lamps in my home because while trying to dust that area of the lamp the plastic just cracks and breaks they're both broken at different times

The build quality is good until you need to screw the main pole into the base. How they threaded the inside of the pole to fit into the base was wrong. It will continuously rotate, never tightening. So you're left with a lamp that is off center or tilts so much that it doesn't stand up. Also, the lamp shade is an off yellow (not white like the picture shows).

I ended up having to buy two of these because one was missing crucial parts. Fortunately the second box did the trick. It was easy to assemble and looks fabulous in my living room corner. Base has substantial weight plus has a foot light pedal!
