I have a 20 pc set of non stick & stainless. Both are over 20 plus years old. I can't imagine anything better. Love the performance of non stick and for slow cooking the stainless is great. I do try to protect my treasured cookware. My wish now would be for the dishwasher safe non stick set.

I am a seasoned cook who has struggled with finding the most perfect cookware for a decade now. I have used Teflon coated aluminum, stainless steel, cast iron, and now hard anodized non-stick. Teflon is amazing for it's non-stick qualities and it basically foolproof to cook with. It heats evenly and cleans quickly. The problem I've had with Teflon is that there are mixed scientific findings about whether or not it's safe. I'm sure I'm overreacting, but stuff I hear on the news always sticks in my mind. Cast iron and stainless steel take a while to heat up, but once they've heated they are fantastic. The problem is that they are hard to clean and you must know how to use stainless steel and cast iron in order to get perfect results. Even after using stainless steel for many many years food still sticks to it. Cleaning is a nightmare. Enter Calphalon and their hard anodized non-stick cookware. This stuff is freaking amazing. When I use it I feel like I get the experience of cooking with stainless steel except hard anodized cookware heats up very quickly. It distributes heat evenly, and seems like it does an amazing job of cooking my food. The best part about it is that clean up is so easy. I usually rinse these with warm water and a non abrasive sponge and toss them into the dishwasher.
