Works some of the time
I like it OK. It holds a roll of paper towels in an apartment where I'm not allowed to attach anything to the cabinets or walls. And it looks much nicer than a roll of paper towels sitting on the counter. But as many others have written here, the grip isn't tight enough to consistently do what it's meant to, which is to tear off one paper towel at a time.
