Not really blackout curtains
At night, I can see through the material (when lights are on or off in the home from outside). They're pretty so coupled them with another pair of blackout curtains which worked.

Great product
I love these curtains! I used them with the white to break up the blue. The only negative thing is I would say they are more of a room darkening curtain than a blackout curtain as some light does come through.
