Tape great for overseas shipping.
I received the product Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping Packaging Tape with Dispenser free from 3M to review. I found that the tape was perfect for packaging up my Christmas gifts for our military son that was over seas. I wanted very strong tape as the package needed to hold up to the hard shipping conditions. My son got his package and it was complete and not damaged. The dispenser was a nice addition as I didn't need to hunt for my scissors. I recommend this tape if your package is going a long ways away.

Pure nightmare! totally failed to hold.
We purchased this product a month ago and used it to seal boxes we were using to move. Everything looked great, until we went to move. The tape kept falling off of the boxes and the boxes were opening while being transported to and from the truck. It was a nightmare! We can't believe that what used to be the "best go to product in the business" fell apart as much as it did.

Scotch Shipping heavy-duty packaging tape (1.88 IN x 800 IN) needs to have tape refills to re-purchase. We don't need to purchase the entire dispenser and tape packaging each time the tape finishes.

Can Not Get The Roll Started
This is great tape but why do is it sold making it very difficult to get the roll started. I bought a pack of 6 recently from Staples and not one roll had a paper tab or something similar to start unpeeling the tape. I've tried fingernails, scissors and a knife and can not get it started.

Perfect for wrapping even the largest packages. The red portion is easy to grasp and then tape comes out smoothly. Rarely gets stuck to itself

Great tape, help save the environment . . .
I love this tape but can not find the replacement tape for the dispenser. There used to be a box of 6 without the dispenser. Trying to save the environment by not buying the dispenser when I don't need one, just want the tape.

Failed Product and Maybe Brand
Zero - Maybe never buy Scotch again - the other tape items I bought performed OK, but this one Crazy-Fail. Will take back for refund. 3M / Scotch has been good brand for my 70 years ; this item is stunningly bad. Shame.

Worst tape ever
I recently purchased a role of the "heavyduty" shipping tape. In trying to use it in the disenser, it's bring nothing but a problem. The tape is so thin and cheap that it separates into shreads. It then becomes very difficult to pull all the pieces together and get back to a full width strip of tape. The role is now in the trash and I'll never purchase this product again.
