Do NOT put in the dishwasher! Made that mistake and with the old the plastic container that became warped. I will be hand washing this one from now on. Seals great keeps sugar dry and less moister gets in this container.

My husband wanted a better solution for our brown sugar since it was getting too hard in the plastic bag. (He is a good cook!). He likes this one since you can remove the entire lid but there is also a smaller lid that pops open in the top. It is small enough to fit in a measuring spoon to get smaller quantities for a recipe. I also found a Terracotta Brown Sugar "Bear" online to place in the container. This also helps to keep the sugar from getting hard. It works!
