Not a blackout curtain
The curtain on the left side is a single ply curtain that I’ve had for 25 years. Don’t judge! The curtain on the right is the blackout curtain I purchased. Obviously I took the blackout curtains back and I’m still searching for the perfect curtain. Maybe this is why I’ve had the same curtains for 25 years?

Doesn't block light
They are fine for regular white curtains, but I actually thought my daughter picked up the wrong box, when intending to buy black out curtains. They are sheer enough to see your hand on the other side. She has heavy blinds, so we bunch them at the sides where the light would creep in, but they aren't totally effective, even compressed to a four inch section.
