Separating frames causes damage to every piece

At first it looks like all you have to do is remove some staples on the back that seem to hold the frames together. But once you do that, you realize that there are anywhere from 4 to 9 NAILS holding each frame to the one next to it. With a pair of needle nose pliers, getting the staples out took only about 15 minutes, and when hung, you can't see where any of those old staples were (because they are on the back). But the nails, those are a completely different story. To separate the frames from each other, I put the connected six frames on a table and let two small frames on the end hang off the end of the table. Then I gently pressed down on the two small frames hanging off the table, and they separated from the others. I performed the same task to separate all of the other frames from each other. Once that is done, you now need to use the needle nose pliers again to remove the nails that are sticking out of each frame. Unfortunately, a small hole will remain everywhere you remove one of these nails, and they will all be visible from the side of each piece of art. But doing this is the only way to separate the 6 frames from each other.

Too hard to separate!

There are nails and staples everywhere. I will probably have to return it because it's too difficult to separate without ruining some of the pictures.
