My New Friend - The Dakota "Multipurpose Stools”
The Dakota Adjustable Modern Industrial Black Barstools were just what I was looking for! They are the right height for my kitchen counter bar and yet can be lowered as seating to mingle with others that might be sitting on the couch. The lever to lower the seat can be used while you’re stting on the stool which allows you to lower the stool and STOP at the height you want. They swivel which mean one can easily rotate to either face the bar counter or turn to see what’s happening on the TV or talk with others not seated at the bar, but perhaps on a couch close by. For a stool with a hard round seat they’re comfortable and the foot rest is a good size. They also don’t make me feel like I’m going to fall off once I’m on the seat.

It broke
I bought 4 stools and 1 broke within a day. The welds at the base must not have been done very well. The stool now wiggles and is overall unstable and not usable. I would exchange it but AtHome does not do exchanges. I'm not sure what to do with the stool now. We through the boxes out as soon as we assembled them. $60 wasted.

Best Barstool Ever!
Amazing barstools! They are very nice and extremely versatile! They can accommodate both counter and bar heights. Extremely well built and sturdy! I'm in love. Oh yeah, did I mention how comfy they are; I truly can't say enough about these stools except "GO GET THEM"!
