Knife handle defective
The knife handle is hollow and has something loose shaking around inside of it. We now have to make another trip to return it.

This paring knife is nice in so many ways. The handle is textured so it won't slip. It's also metal so there's no wood to change color or lose it's finish. It's very sharp and I plan to purchase more. I only bought one to test it out. It passed with flying colors.

Cheap knife/Bad Warranty
I purchased this knife from Costco. It came in a nice set with protective sleaves. All the knives were very sharp initially but quickly became dull. I always hand wash my knives. The small pairing knife fell on my floor and chipped in half. I have NEVER experienced a knife breaking in two pieces with a drop on floor. NEVER. When I called customer service they refused to replace the damaged item that I have only owned for about 7.5 months. They should stand behind their products better than this. I will return the entire set to Costco as they provide warranty for most products sold at their store. I am sad Cuisinart didn't stand behind their product as I purchased this because of the brand name.
