I have 4 of these lanterns, on my porch. I use them throughout the year, especially during holidays. Xmas with bows and garland, summer next to plant pots, in my flowerbed on retaining wall, any idea you can think of. Very dependable lighting with timer dusk to dawn or 8 hours shutoff.

I bought two to use on my deck. They give just enough light. I do cover them if I know it will rain, but they were caught in a heavy downpour once and there was no problem.
